Canada accepts the newcomers with an open-heart, but the treatment they get from the job market is on the contrary side. The country openly show favour to the people of Canadian i.e. “True Canadians”. The newcomers face a tough situation in the job market in Canada, and if a person does not have experience in hand, then the dream of getting a job never turns into reality. Even the competent newcomers are left with no hope when they not even given one opportunity to prove their work skill, and they do not get a deserving job. It's a catch 22 situation - "No job without Canadian experience, but how will one gain Canadian experince without getting a job?"
A website named “www.notcanada.com”, which speaks about the miserable plight and woes of the immigrants. There are certain examples upheld on the website wherein a competent and well qualified people ended up doing job of lesser grade because of lack of the eligible one. One such example is of a man having PhD degree has become a taxi driver because he did not get the job he wanted. Such an example is sure to dishearten the applicants, but the main idea here is to make the applicants mentally and physically prepared to face the tuff situation and hardships that is to come in their way of getting a desired job. There are certain criteria that would place in the applicant in a safer situation, such as, updated knowledge of software of the desired job, knowledge of technology of the field, fluency in English, a degree-holder of North America and the most important is to have interview skills. If a person is bestowed with these qualities, then his/her success is guaranteed, and that too in the desired job.
